DAY 3

Ok today was great. But I have to start by telling you that we are getting the best sleep on this incredible Revive Bed at the Marriott Marquis. We woke up later than we wanted again hehe....We started out by having breakfast at Ellen's Stardust Diner. The waiters all take turns singing pop songs. They are all obvious |"starving actors". They were pretty good, and the food was not half bad. Next we took a subway ride to South Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. She is much larger in person. Afterwards, we got on a double decker bus, to go to see Bodies: The Exhibit. 22 Real human bodies. It is really fascinating. They are disected in different ways to allow you to see each system.
Next we went to Rockefeller Center, where we did the NBC Studio Tour. On this tour they allowed two volunteers to do a mock newscast. Being the shy individual you all know me to be. I promptly offered my services for the anchor seat. I have a recording that I will post later. It was a blast!
We also went to 'the top of the rock'. This is the 69th floor of Rockefeller Center. It has the best 360 degree view of NYC. Pics will follow later.

Afterwards, we came back to the hotel to relax before seeing The Lion King. We were both kinda disappointed with the show. So after, we walked to Sardi's for dinner. It was delicious! Its a famous NYC restaraunt.

We are soooooo lucky to be able to experience all of this. It has been a dream fulfilled in many ways for us. We dont know what we are doing today (Friday) We are going to be spontaneous, and see what comes along.

Talk to yall soon!!

DAY 2

So Wednesday, (today) We woke up kinda late, due to kinda being on Pacific time. We have an unlimited All Loops tour of the city. We spent the early afternoon at the Museum of Natural History. Pictures below. We enjoyed lunch uptown near Central Park. We then got on the subway and made our way to the Ed Sullivan Theater. We were sooo lucky to be part of the studio audience for the Late Show with David Letterman. It was alot of fun, and the thrill of a lifetime. Words just cannot express how much fun it was to be part of that.
Next, we took a taxi to Chinatown, and ate some chinese food. It wasnt that great, We were both disappointed. We need to find a place to redeem NY for chinese food. We took a cab back to our hotel so that we could get ready for what we both agree is the highlight of our trip. We got to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway. It was a PHENOMENAL performance, and for us was a dream fulfilled. We both are in love with the show, and it was incredible.

After, we walked back to our hotel to call it a night. On our way, we noticed something going on. Cars were stopped in the middle of an intersection. People were in the middle of the road. All the sudden we saw quite a few naked people on top of a car and pick up truck. They were trying to garner attention for a new private party company. They were nude and drunk and blocking traffic at the intersection of Broadway and 45th Street. This pissed off taxi drivers and NYPD. They, after about five minutes rushed in. I started laughing. loudly I guess, and this one officer that couldnt have been older than 12, ok maybe 25, looked at me and was pissed that I was laughing at the situation. He acted like he was gonna say something to me, and kinda punked me. I was on the sidewalk just looking at the craziness that was unfolding. We got some pics.  So here we are back in the room, very tired from a busy busy day. Tomorrow we intend to take a cruise of the hudson and tour the Statue of Liberty. If we can swing it, I want to check out the NBC Studio tour, as well at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Also hoping to spend some time at Central Park. We will see what we can fit in. Tomorrow night Sergio will get his wish. We have tickets to see Lion King. We will post our adventure tomorrow night. For now, Good Night to You All. We hope you enjoyt he pictures!!!

THE DAKOTA (John Lennon's Apt)

Views from our room

Ok. Today was simply amazing. But I am going to start at the beginning.
DAY 1
Tuesday morning, we woke up at 3 AM at the LAX Doubletree. We were at the airport by 4AM, and in the air at 6:00 AM. The flight was supposed to take just over 5 1/2 hours. However to our surprise the pilot announced that due to an exceptional tail wind, we would arrive an hour early at JFK. To this point we were already commenting on how everything was going so smoothly. Almost eerily so. We arrived in style at the Marriott Marquis, and met Amy at the Front Desk. I quickly worked my charm, and she upgraded us to a corner room, with floor to ceiling windows, that offered an incredible view of Times Square. Well after cleaning up and unpacking, we left the hotel to enjoy dinner at an incredible place called Junior's. This place is terrific. Sergio ordered Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes with gravy. The meatloaf was ok, but the mashed potatoes were so good, that you almost feel guilty eating them. I still dont know what they put in them, but it was heaven on a plate. I ordered a Corned Beef and Pastrami Sandwich. It was delicious and had an ample supply of meat. I will try to place pictures of the food below this. After we ate dinner, we headed off to see our first broadway show, In the Heights. It was so much better than we could have hoped for. We were hooked on this city after the first night. Afterwards, we explored a bit of Times Square, and enjoyed a late night buffet in the revolving restaraunt atop our hotel on the 48th floor. The restaraunt revolved, offering a view of the city, that was very nice. We headed back to the hotel and passed out from exhaustion around 1 AM. More to come for Day 2!!!

WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY

Sadly, there will be no pictures tonight. TOO TIRED LOL

This morning we woke up in LA at 3 AM PST. We grabbed the free hotel shuttle to LAX and were in the air by 6am. Due to a favorable tail wind, we ended up arriving in New York a whole hour early. That has never happened before. We arrived to amazing weather. 72 degrees and a slight breeze.

We got into the hotel and got settled. We ate at a phenomenal place called Juniors. It was incredible. Tonight we saw In the Heights. It was phenomenal. The show start to finish was superb. Pictures will be posted tomorrow. We just dont have the energy or the eyelid stamina to do it tonight.

Love to all...

Tired.

Ok, after working a half-day, Sergio and I hit the road at about 230 PM. We headed south. We are staying at the Doubletree, in a very nice room. We have a 3 AM Wake up call, and 6AM flight to New York. So we are going to share an overpriced club sandwhich from Room Service and go to sleep.

New York or BUST!

The adventure begins today!

Today, we are leaving for Los Angeles. We are staying overnight, so that we can catch a 6 AM flight, which means that we will be at the airport at the ungodly hour of 4 AM. We should arrive in NY around 3 PM (EST). Look for our first post from New York sometime Tuesday night.
